Lakehead-Georgian Scholarships for International Students to Study in Canada
International students can apply for a scholarship from the Lakehead-Georgian Scholarships for International Students to Study in Canada (LGSISC) program. The LGSISC program provides financial assistance to international students in order to study at Lakehead University. Students who are eligible to apply for a scholarship are those who are:
International students who have graduated from a high school outside of Canada
International students who are currently studying at a university or college outside of Canada
International students who are studying at a university or college in Canada

International students who are applying for the scholarship must meet the following requirements:
Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at a Canadian university or college.
Students must be enrolled in a degree program at Lakehead University.
Students must be able to demonstrate financial need.
Students must be in good academic standing.
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Students must be able to prove a financial need.
Students must be willing to study at Lakehead University.
Students must be able to prove their English language proficiency.
Students must be willing to abide by the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
Students must agree to return to Canada upon the completion of their studies.
As I have noted before, international students who do not return to Canada are ineligible for the scholarship.
Students who are not in good academic standing, are not currently enrolled in a degree program, or have a GPA of less than 2.0 are ineligible for the scholarship.

Lakehead-Georgian Scholarships 2022 | Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Lakehead-Georgian Scholarships, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be an international fee-paying student applying for admission at Lakehead University for the 2022/23 academic session.
- Applicants must have obtained relevant academic qualifications required for admission into Lakehead University.
- Applicants must meet the English language requirements of the University.
- Applicants must be willing to abide by the rules and regulations governing the conduct of students at the University.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic abilities.
